Staying at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge
Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge is in the central Serengeti, close to the Seronera River and its riverine forest. From here, the whole park is within reach: the Maasai Kopjes, the Seronera valley with its resident lions and leopards, and the Grumeti River when the Great Migration passes through.
The lodge has 25 tents on raised wooden platforms, each with an en-suite bathroom, an outdoor shower and a private terrace. There are suite tents for couples, quadruple rooms and interconnecting family units. The thatched main building has a lounge, restaurant and large terrace, next to a swimming pool that looks out across the plains.
Kubu Kubu is one of the best places in the Serengeti to combine game drives with a sunrise hot-air balloon safari. In the evening, guests gather around the campfire or book a massage after a long day in the bush.
