Staying at Lala Salama Serengeti Luxury Camp
Lala Salama Serengeti Luxury Camp is an intimate luxury tented camp in the Seronera area of the central Serengeti, set among acacia-dotted hills with wide views over the plains. "Lala salama" means "sleep well" in Swahili, and the camp lives up to its name: the central Serengeti has superb game viewing all year, with big cats and elephants close by, and the Great Migration passes through as the herds move between south and north.
The spacious tented suites are built of warm timber and canvas, each with a private deck, an outdoor shower and a freestanding bathtub looking out over the Serengeti. There are Luxury Double tents with a king-size bed, Triple tents for three adults, and the Lala Familia family tent, which sleeps two adults and two to three children and has a separate living area.
Stays are all-inclusive, with daily game drives, bush breakfasts and sundowners on the plains. Guests can also enjoy a bush lunch beneath the acacias or dinner under the stars, and hot-air balloon safaris, guided nature walks and cultural visits can be arranged. Water is solar-heated and the camp uses eco-friendly bath products, and Wi-Fi is available.
